ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A Des Peres man is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and attacking his former partner. According to a report filed by the Ferguson Police Department, the incident happened on June 28 at a residence in the 300 block of St. Louis Avenue.Police claim Marquise Lewis, 30, drove to the home to confront his ex. When no one answered the door, Lewis kicked the door down and entered the residence. Lewis grabbed his former partner by the hair, dragged her into a bedroom, and punched her several times.The victim's mother was home at the time of the attack and attempted to call 911, but Lewis took the phone from her hands and broke it. (WMBD) - Someone who bought a Lucky Day Lotto Ticket in Illinois has a ticket worth $900,000.According to an Illinois Lottery news release, the winning ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven in Elgin, Ill. The winning numbers drawn Sunday were: 11-13-14-23-26.Close to 24,000 other prizes were won during the drawing, ranging from $1 to $200.The Lotto jackpot is currently $19.5 million, which is the largest of the year, and the second largest in the last five years. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A Hazelwood man is accused of selling drugs from a home where children were present.According to a report filed by the Florissant Police Department, officers obtained a warrant to search a home on Tanner Drive in Dellwood. Police executed that search warrant on June 27 after observing a man selling drugs from the residence. That man was identified as Michael Adams Jr.During the search, police discovered a firearm hidden beneath a pile of clothing, as well as several controlled substances. Adams, a convicted felon, is not allowed to own or possess a firearm. A person in Parachute Colorado has won $1 million in Colorado’s PowerBall state-run lottery, on a ticket purchased at the Thunder River Market – the second time this month that a person has won $1 million.On July 8, somebody southeast of metro Denver in Elizabeth won $1 million from a ticket purchased at Murphy Express, a gas station.Neither of the prizes has been claimed, PowerBall spokeswoman Meghan Dougherty said Monday morning. A man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly threatening a Loma Linda hotel guest with a gun for being too loud, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday.The incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. Saturday at a hotel in the 25200 block of Redlands Boulevard.Responding deputies discovered that while the victim was in her hotel room, the suspect, identified as 41-year-old James Hamilton, came to her door and complained she was too loud.Hamilton returned again a few minutes later and complained about the noise. At that point, the suspect allegedly took out a handgun from his waistband, drew back the hammer of the gun and pointed it at the victim as he threatened her, officials detailed in a news release.Deputies eventually detained Hamilton and recovered a Beretta PX4 gun and a box of .40 caliber ammunition in his room.Hamilton, a resident of Cedar Hill, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm on a person. A 30-year-old San Bernardino man was rescued over the weekend in Angels Falls after falling off a trail, according to the Madera County Sheriff's Office, KTLA sister station KSEE reports. Police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a person at a music studio in downtown Los Angeles Monday morning.This shooting occurred shortly after midnight in the 900 block of South San Pedro Street.
