(CNN) — Tom Holland learned about the value of prioritizing his mental health after producing and starring in his upcoming AppleTV+ miniseries “The Crowded Room.”That’s part of what has led to the “Spider-Man” star taking a break from acting to simply be a “regular bloke from Kingston and just relax,” he told Extra in an interview published on Tuesday. With heavy subject matter related to mental health, making “The Crowded Room” was “a tough time,” Holland said, because he was “exploring certain emotions that I have definitely never experienced before.”Inspired by Daniel Keyes’ 1981 novel “The Minds of Billy Milligan,” the miniseries follows a young man’s arrest for a shocking crime and the “unlikely investigator” who solves the mystery behind it, according to a synopsis. And while Holland said he “really enjoyed” making the series, he added that ultimately “the show did break me.”“There did come a time where I was like, I need to have a break. (CNN) — Flipping through Franck Bohbot’s photos of Californian arcades is like stepping into a time machine. In one, a dark, cavernous venue is lit up by the screens of retro games like “Terminator 2” and “Pac-man.” Another shows futuristic beams of neon light shooting past players in VR headsets as they fight off unseen enemies. Elsewhere, classic pinball machines stand alongside shiny, ultra-modern consoles; mid-game action shots follow images of eerily empty arcades.Retro arcade machines are seen here at Blipsy Bar in L.A.’s Koreatown. (Courtesy: Franck Bohbot) One minute you’re in the 1980s, the next in the present day. “That’s the power of the arcade,” Bohbot said in a phone interview.Shot largely in 2019, though not published until now because of the pandemic, Bohbot’s new book “Back to the Arcade” brings together almost 150 of his photographs from Los Angeles and southern California — a project intended to “document arcade culture and the escapism it provides,” Bohb...
